athletic wear for the gym

Between my 9-6 job and working on my blog, getting in shape and working out is my escape to stay sane and healthy. I am a huge health nut and I love working out during my free time. I try to give myself at least an hour of exercise whether its lifting weights and toning my body or taking a fun gym class with my friends. This time, I am really determined to work on my glutes and get that perfect bottom ("booty") for the summer. So to get myself really motivated to hit the gym as much as possible, I always need stylish work out clothes! I love these cropped leggings. The cobalt blue color and black mesh fabric make these leggings a fun bottom to workout in. I've been dying to get new kicks and love these black sneakers with a pop of bright color. You can never go wrong with a comfy sports bra like this neon peach one. Happy Friday! I hope you all hit the gym hard and have a wonderful weekend! It looks like it will be a snowy weekend here!

If you are also looking to work on your booty, check out the below routine I like to do! To get more workout routines follow @squatguide on instagram for inspiration and motivation!

Remember this aztec poncho that I blogged about last week? Well I've been obsessed with them lately and this plaid poncho is my recent obsession. It's reversible and big enough to keep you warm during those cold winter days. I decided to use a simple leather belt to give this look an added touch of elegance and class. As always, I love adding fun accessories to my looks and I love how this leopard clutch brought my entire outfit together. It's a great standout piece to wear for a night out or for a casual meet up with friends. Happy Wednesday! For those of you who had a nice long weekend, this week is flying by pretty fast!

Are you tired of wearing the typical all black outfit to work? If you're looking for a change in your work attire, this faux snake skirt is a fun piece to add to your wardrobe. I like adding pops of color to my work outfits and seriously fell in love with this burgundy top. I love how the ruffle trimmed sleeves give this top such a feminine and classy look. It's great to wear to work or you can wear it with high waisted jeans for a more casual look. If you haven't realized it yet, I chopped my hair for a shorter mid length bob. Almost 10 inches was chopped off! I was so nervous, but my hair stylist Molly at Midoma hair salon did an incredible job. I am obsessed with my new hair and have been using a curling wand to give my hair that natural beach wavy look! The new year is a time for change and I've been wanting something fresh and new for my hair so I am very happy with my decision. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and for those who are off today, enjoy your extra day of rest!

Well most of you probably all know I love heels! I try to find every excuse to wear them. I wear them everyday at work (commute in flats though!) and on the weekends when I'm out with my friends. There's something about a shoe with heels that I just love. It makes a girl feel confident and adds some height to those who feel they're too short. I love these sporty booties with pops of neon yellow. These would be great with leather pants for a sporty chic look. I'm always a fan of neutral colors and these brown suede pumps are the perfect go to pair for work. If I'm feeling a boho vibe, these fringe booties are super cute with a pair of skinny jeans or a flared skirt. Happy Friday everyone! We made it to the weekend!

If you haven't noticed, I usually love wearing jewelry, especially statement necklaces. However, lately I've been very minimal with my jewelry and just letting certain key pieces in my closet do all the talking. This embroidered navy jacket is an eye catcher and I love how the embroidery is on the front and the back of this jacket. This grey turtleneck has been on constant repeat for me. It's so comfortable and I literally can wear it with anything! I wore this outfit during my holiday break and explored Jersey City. This is definitely the kind of outfit I like wearing on the weekends while exploring new cities! Happy Wednesday everyone! Only a few more days till the weekend!
